Over 80% of Woodslane Press’ new books are published under this, our main imprint. The imprint is best known for Australia’s bestselling series of walking guides, the Woodslane Walking Guides, now numbering more than 25 titles, but is home to a surprisingly diverse range of non-fiction and children’s titles. Australian history and biography is covered in some depth, with authors including Professor John Croucher (titles include A Concise History of New South Wales), Ian W. Shaw (titles include Pandemic), Derek Parker (titles including Outback) and Jeff Apter (Behind Dark Eyes). Self-help is also a strongly represented genre with titles ranging from cooking to flower arranging, pet care to environmental care, home renovation to childcare. Complementing our walking guides, we have been gradually introducing new outdoor authors and books to the list, including collaborations with Mike Koch (Australia Free 4), Simon Nevill (titles include Australia’s Great Western Deserts) and Australian Geographic. Our children’s authors include Myke Mollard (A-Z of Australian Bush Creatures), Judith Barker (titles include OO in Uluru) and Niraj Lal (Henry the Flying Emu).
