Cathy Savage

Cathy Savage and partner Craig Lewis  both travel to write and write to travel. They have been wandering throughout Australia’s backblocks to photograph and gather material for upcoming books for some 25 years, since they started the Boiling Billy imprint after wondering why there were no good state-based camping guides available in Australia. Most years will see them camping out for 100 or so nights, often bunking down in secluded bush campsites, far from the madding crowds. This is by far their favourite style of camping. As well as camping guides they have  turned their hand to 4WD guides and have also penned and photographed perennial bestsellers in associated genres, including Australian Bush Cooking and Australian Bush Pubs.
