Neil Fahey is a Melbourne-based hiker who wears many hats, among which are blogger, freelance writer, and founder of tour bookings website AussieHikingTours.com. He made the lifestyle change from couch potato and desk jockey to hiking fanatic in 2008, spurred on by a looming trip to hike the Inca Trail in Peru, and this is when he started his website Bushwalking Blog (www.bushwalkingblog.com.au) to help other would-be hikers follow in his footsteps. As a freelance writer, he’s written for Viator Travel and the Australian hiking magazine, Great Walks, among others. Neil has been holidaying along the Great Ocean Road since childhood, and in more recent years he’s explored many of the trails in the Great Otway National Park.
