Sandra and partner Craig grew up in Ballarat and Rosebud. They started their life together cycling out with friends on Sunday mornings, exploring various spots west of Melbourne. They and their children joined the Ballarat Bushwalking and Outdoor Club and went on to complete the 2009 Great Victorian Bike Ride along the Great Ocean Road - when their youngest was only 11. Sandra is a teacher when she's not on the bike.
