Magnificent Southwest Australia

Travelling the SouthWest is relatively easy with a network of roads and tracks taking you to every corner within a day or so. The area is not considered remote (from Perth anyway), however with a relatively low population it allows the traveller to find many quiet places where stunning sandy beaches and cool forests can be all but deserted. Heading south also takes you to a multitude of areas where vineyards, hill ranges and forests abound. There truly is lots to do and explore in this beautiful part of Australia.

Now in its new MAGNIFICENT format - this is an indispensable reminder and souvenir for both international and Australian visitors to this very special place.

Including sections on geography, wildlife and wildflowers, Indigenous culture, Perth, the Pinnacles, Wave Rock, Busselton, Rottnest, Cape-to-Cape, Denmark & the Valley of the Giants, Albany and the Stirling Ranges, Fitzgerald River National Park and Esperance - there is something for everyone to add to their travel bucket list.

Whilst updated by the Woodslane Publishing team, principal photographer Simon Nevill has utilised his skills and extensive knowledge of Western Australia to bring to life all it has to offer. Simon ran tours for over 20 years, taking clients overseas and to every state in Australia, including all the main desert regions of this vast country. Initially an expert birder, he's developed a keen interest in wildflowers and other groups of the animal kingdom.
